Acrylic Render in Ireland
Acrylic render costs €60–€80 per m² in Ireland. It's a flexible thin coat with the colour all the way through, applied over a base coat like silicone, in almost any colour.

Step 2 of 3
Rendering your walls. This takes 20 to 50 seconds.
Your request is already through, so you can close this page if you need to.
That's an AI preview, not a promise. The contractor prices the real walls after a look.
We couldn't do this one. Some photos don't work: a clearer, wider shot in daylight usually does.
Your request is in: you'll still get a call with a price.
Two thin coats compared
| Acrylic | Silicone | |
|---|---|---|
| Per m² | €60–€80 | €55–€80 |
| Water | Resists it | Sheds it best |
| Dirt and algae | Can hold dirt over time | Stays cleaner |
| Colours | Almost any, strong colours too | Wide range |
| Breathes | Less | Better |
Acrylic is flexible and tough, and takes strong colours well. Silicone, or a silicone-acrylic blend, stays cleaner and lets the wall breathe better, which is why contractors often suggest it for houses. Acrylic suits strong colours and sheltered walls.
What acrylic costs
Supplied and applied, per square metre of wall, and for whole houses.
| Job | Typical price | What moves the price |
|---|---|---|
| Acrylic render (thin coat) | €60–€80 per m² | Like silicone on a base coat; flexible, wide colour choice |
| Silicone render (thin coat) | €55–€80 per m² | Base coat and mesh first, then the coloured silicone. Sheds water and dirt |
| Monocouche (one-coat, coloured) | €50–€75 per m² | Colour in the mix, scraped finish. Needs dry, mild weather to cure evenly |
| 3-bed semi-detached, whole house | €4,000–€10,000 | The finish, the state of the old walls, the gable |
| Detached two-storey, whole house | €7,000–€16,000 | Four walls, more scaffold, bays and corners |
A guide for typical Irish houses. Your price is fixed by the contractor after they've seen the walls. Nothing is booked until you say yes.

Questions we get asked
How much is acrylic render per m²?
€60–€80 per m² in Ireland, supplied and applied.
Is acrylic render better than silicone?
Silicone stays cleaner and sheds water better; acrylic is flexible and suits strong colours. On most Irish houses the contractor will suggest silicone or a blend.
Does acrylic render need painting?
Silicone, monocouche and acrylic renders are coloured all the way through, so they're never painted. Sand and cement render is painted with masonry paint, and repainted when the paint fades.
